Physics & Consciousness | |
The Self-Aware Universe This is my favorite book on the nature of consciousness. Amit Goswami explores Monistic Idealism, a philosophy that places consciousness over the physical world, which is merely the manifest form of said consciousness. |
|
The Elegant Universe This is one of the best attempts of a brainy physicist to break things down into layman’s terms that I’ve encountered. That’s not to say it’s an easy read. There is also a great PBS series and a DVD based on this book. |
|
The Dreaming Universe Another great book exploring the connection of physics and consciousness. |
The Dimensional Structure of Consciousness Sam Avery writes a very compelling argument for a physical basis to immaterialism |

Confessions of an Economic Hitman John Perkins gives an excellent account of his time serving as an “Economic Hit Man” or EHM. His job was to cook the books to present an economic forecast that would convince the rulers of countries to build huge infrastructure projects that they couldn’t afford, awarding the contracts to US companies. When the countries inevitably couldn’t pay off the loans, the henchmen from the World Bank and IMF would come in and advise the leaders on things such as how to use their UN votes. Very compelling reading. |

Freedom in Chains James Bovard presents a compelling argument against Statism and cites some wonderful bits of history that seem to have fallen out of public recollection. |
|
Rule by Secrecy However far one is willing to extend belief to some of theories put forth in this highly detailed and exhaustively researched manuscript, the versions of events presented here often ring closer to home than the highly sanitised version promulgated by most textbooks and the popular media. Certainly an eye-opening book. |
Reality Manipulation | |
Psybermagick: Advanced Ideas in Chaos Magick Peter Carroll moves beyond the basic principals of Chaos Magick theory covered in his previous works and presents some original and compelling essays. |
|
Condensed Chaos Phil Hine delivers one of the most concise texts on modern magical theory. |
|
Creating Magickal Entities A fantastic resource for those new to servitor creation but also offers some refreshing techniques for the experienced. |
The Multiverse | |
The Teachings of Don Jaun: A Yaqui way of Knowledge The first of many excellent books by Carlos Castenada describing the nature of the Multiverse. |
Alchemy | |
Tower of Alchemy Though some purists may balk at the contents and methodolgy, Goddard presents a beautifully written work, the most enjoyable book on Alchemy I’ve encountered. A very practical work. |
|
Initiation into Hermetics Franz Bardon’s timeless classic. |
