Now this is exciting! A water powered car? Sounds almost too good to be true.

Although I’m an avid fan of the modern superadobe building techniques and can’t wait to live in a home I’m sure will look and feel heavenly compared to the boxes most people live in, I realize that most people are not going to change their tastes towards such homes overnight. In the mean time, I really like the idea of making conventional homes more energy efficient and incorporating small scale renewable energy power sources throughout the house to reduce consumption of grid power. Hybrid Technologies seems to have the right idea. I especially like the vertical wind turbines mounted on the roof. Designed for low-wind environments they generate 3kW of power each. Think of a high-watted appliance in your home, such as a microwave oven, rated at 1000 watts. In ideal circumstances, which aren’t actually achievable in the real world, you could run 3 microwave ovens from the generator. The power would be actually be stored in a battery bank collecting power from actual breezes from multiple turbines. A few of them would be sufficient to handle all the homes electricity demands, including charging an electric lithium battery-powered car.
